Korean Research Society of Cervical Spine

Greetings.

I am Moon Soo Park, the 12th President of the Cervical Spine Research Society.

First, I extend my deep gratitude to all members for your warm affection and strong support of our Society. I will do my utmost for our Society to achieve further advancement by inheriting the dedication and passion of my predecessors: Han Jang, Hee-Jeon Park, Jae-Won Yoo, Kyung-Jin Song, Jae-Sung Ahn, Jong-Beom Park, Jin-Sup Yeom, Dong-Ho Lee, Young-Sang Lee, Kyung-Soo Suk, and Bo-Geon Seo.

As a strong subspecialty society of the Korean Society of Spine Surgery, the Cervical Spine Research Society brings together approximately 80 members passionate about research on cervical spine disorders and trauma. Our Society's core vision is to lead public health improvement through in-depth research ranging from basic science to clinical practice.

To realize this vision, we will vigorously pursue the following initiatives: holding four dynamic cervical research meetings annually; preparing high-quality cervical research symposia and training courses; leading the training of next-generation cervical spine specialists through practical technical education such as cadaver workshops; actively sharing the latest knowledge through international academic conferences; and strengthening public education and outreach to improve understanding of cervical spine disorders.

Additionally, working hand-in-hand with renowned international societies including the Cervical Spine Research Societies of the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific (CSRS, CSRS-E, CSRS-AP), we will expand international academic exchange. Through these efforts, we will ensure that our Cervical Spine Research Society takes its place with confidence as a central society on the global stage.

As the number of patients with cervical spine disorders continues to grow due to rapid population aging, the role of specialists equipped with accurate diagnostic skills and the capacity to perform complex surgery has become more important than ever. Our Society will respond nimbly to our changing environment and serve as a steadfast pillar of practical support for the field.

Your active participation and valued voices are the greatest source of vitality for our Society. Let us work together to build a healthy and vibrant Society where scholarship and clinical practice harmonize beautifully.
