President's Message
To the esteemed members of the Korean Society of Spine Surgery,
Greetings. With a humble sense of the weight of assuming such an important responsibility, I sincerely thank the senior professors who have led the development of the Society and the members who have always stood alongside it.
We now stand at a turning point of the next industrial revolution centered on artificial intelligence, having passed through the completion of the Third Industrial Revolution and the tide of globalization. Amid such technological progress, the medical community likewise bears a grave responsibility and sense of mission as the last bastion of human health.
Under the philosophy that 'the future is built upon fundamentals,' the Basic Research Society seeks to serve as the seedbed for laying the academic foundation for the continued advancement of spine surgery. Basic research grounded in convergence with cutting-edge technology leads directly to clinical innovation, which will make a decisive contribution to enhancing the quality of patient care.
Going forward, as a firm pillar of the Korean Society of Spine Surgery, the Basic Research Society will do its utmost to become the academic foundation upon which young and creative researchers can fully realize their potential. We ask for the deep interest and active participation of the many medical scientists who share in the future of the spine.
