The Korean Society of Spine Surgery
endeavors to create optimal care for patients with spinal diseases
Based on the achievements of the past 40 years, the Korean Society of Spine Surgery is focusing on four core strategies to continue the development of the society: Consolidation, Teaching, Longevity, and Standardization. To achieve this, the following detailed priority tasks are set.
Logo of KSSS was newly revised celebrating 30th anniversary of the foundation. Meanings of the figures in the logo are as follows.
In the left figure, Rod of Asclepius sprouts from a vertebra and a snake symbolizing medicine surrounds the Rod. It means that
proper medicine sets up spinal surgery straight.
In the right figure, the bent tree post in the symbol of orthopaedic surgery was replaced with vertebral column. It means that
deformed spine is connected to the straight post and corrected.
