Korean Society of Spine Surgery has continuously tried to contribute to health promotion of human beings through researches and development of treatment for spinal disorders during 30 years since its foundation in 1984. For the next decade, we will proceed to the future, driving 3 strategies of Globalization of the society, Communication with the people, and Reinforcement of individual members creative capabilities and 10 priority projects aimed at being a society of public trust and scientific leadership.
Logo of KSSS was newly revised celebrating 30th anniversary of the foundation. Meanings of the figures in the logo are as follows.
In the left figure, Rod of Asclepius sprouts from a vertebra and a snake symbolizing medicine surrounds the Rod. It means that
proper medicine sets up spinal surgery straight.
In the right figure, the bent tree post in the symbol of orthopaedic surgery was replaced with vertebral column. It means that
deformed spine is connected to the straight post and corrected.
